Description
A postcard of the “Chicago Art Institute, Michigan Boulevard, Chicago, Ill.”: the museum behind its plaza, with green buses, rounded cars and pedestrians on the avenue.
This is a 1993 reproduction from “Route 66 Postcards” by Michael and Suzanne Wallis (St. Martin’s Press), from the Wallis Collection, originally published by Colourpicture. A printed caption strip at the top of the back reads “Route 66 Begins (or Ends) in Downtown Chicago, Not Far from the Famed Art Institute.” Unused, with pencil notes and a little surface loss near the strip. Close-ups show the buses and the cars.
