Description

A small oil of a bouquet in a teal vase: white, pink and cream flowers dabbed on thick against a dark green and red ground. It is signed lower right in white, only partly legible. The painting sits in a slim gilt slip on a wide linen liner, inside a deep, heavily carved gilt frame.

The close-ups show the raised petals and the frame’s scrollwork; the frame has small rubs to the gilt. A lot of frame for a small painting, which is exactly the charm.
