From the Captain's Log

At the famous sunset in Key West, these are the famous cats that used to perform there. It's just a local artist from Key West that did this. Nice frame. If you like cats, if you like Key West, circus cats especially, I guess you would like this one.

Name the most you'd pay. We bid for you, just enough to stay in front, like eBay. Nobody sees your max, not even Captain Nemo.

How the bidding works (the short version of the Articles)
  • The first bid starts a 7-day clock. When it hits zero, the top bidder wins.
  • Enter your max. The price only climbs as far as needed to keep you in front, so you may win for less.
  • Each bid has to beat the price by a small step. Ties go to whoever bid first.
  • Some pieces carry a reserve, a minimum price kept secret. If bidding ends below it, the piece doesn't sell. The box tells you if it's met.
  • A bid in the last 5 minutes resets the clock to 5 minutes. No sniping.
  • Win, and we email a pay link. You have 3 days to pay. Pickup is at the South Loop dock.
  • A bid is a promise to buy. Please bid only if you mean it.

Description

A trio of cats lounges on a sunny deck beneath a beaming sun, embodying the laid-back charm of Key West. The piece is captioned “World Famous Sunset Cats” and inscribed “Key West” along the mat, complete with a signature and edition mark at the lower right corner. It is presented in a gilt frame.

The artwork is a colour print on paper, enclosed in a gold frame with a white mat and glass. A nod to the famous feline performers of Key West, this piece is the closest most of us will get to the yacht club.
