Description
A linen-finish postcard, “102-A — Chicago Natural History Museum, Chicago”: the white columned museum on the lakefront, the flag flying, gardens and lamp posts in front and small figures on the paths. The Field Museum carried that name for a stretch of the mid-century.
The back calls it “one of the finest museum buildings on Earth, situated on the Lakefront”. Published by Aero Distributing Co., Chicago, printed by Curt Teich (code 1C-H1497). Unused, with an old dealer’s pencil note and a little surface loss on the back. Close-ups show the building and the gardens.
