Description
Ahoy, this one’s a picture on a rock, matey. The image is a printed reproduction of Frida Kahlo’s 1946 painting The Little Deer: her own face on the body of a young stag, its hide stuck full of arrows, running through a stand of broken trees with the sea showing beyond.
The print rides on a tumbled travertine tile with pitted, chalky stone borders, and a rope cord is threaded through the top corners for hanging. The signature line along the bottom edge is part of the printed image. To be plain about it: this is a reproduction, not an original painting. Light wear on the print surface, as you can see in the close-ups.
